"There are still players who are out there unsigned, [that] we're in love with." John Harbaugh shared when asked about adding players to the roster. With training camp quickly approaching, the front office of the Ravens is still considering making a few additions to the roster. Although there are no vacancies that Harbaugh specifically mentioned, there are some positions on the roster that need solid guys.
The Ravens haven't made a transaction in over a month. The isn't a concern or even something to be surprised at. Activity all around the league has been down since it is the NFL's lone vacation time.
Although Harbaugh hasn't commented on what positions the Ravens may look into, general manager Ozzie Newsome has expressed options of signing a veteran wide receiver.
Late-summer signings have proven well and right for the Ravens in the past. Both left tackle Bryan McKinnie and fullback Vonta Leach were picked up in the late summer before the 2011 season.
In addition to filling out the roster, the Ravens' coaches are preparing for training camp. Harbaugh comments, "All of the coaches I'm sure are thinking about scheme. I'm planning training camp...what's going to fit where...what messages we're going to give the guys when. It's always on your mind."
Training camp begins in less than two weeks. Only time will tell if the Ravens make any last minute signings.
