Are the Lynx the Best Team in the WNBA?

The Minnesota Lynx haven't lost a game since their 30-point loss to Los Angelos back on July 2nd. They are riding an eight game winning streak during which, their average margin of victory is 15 points. Although the margin of victory may not be so impressive, the numbers their big three (Maya Moore, Seimone Agustus, Lindsay Whalen) are putting up surely are.

In tonight's win over the San Antonio Silver Stars, the three All-Stars combined to score 46 points. And in their win over Phoenix, in which the victory was sealed by just five points, the three scored 44 points total. Monica Wright has stepped up as well, averaging 13 ppg during the streak. Rebekkah Brunson has been contributing as well, keeping her scoring and rebounding consistent. There are a lot of scoring threats to Minnesota's disposal and they're not afraid to use them.

So are the Minnesota Lynx the best team in the WNBA? With players like Agustus, Moore, and Whalen, how can you say they're not? But with a month to go before the playoffs begin, anything can happen. If they want to be in the WNBA Finals again this year, they'll have to beat teams like the surging Los Angelos Sparks, and the dangerous Phoenix Mercury.

The Minnesota Lynx may be the best team in the WNBA right now, but that can change in just one single game. They have to be ready to come to fight--and win--every game.
